Hello friends,

 It’s been a complete year of my husband being deployed. A whole 12 months, a whole 365 days, half of my heart gone. I didn’t think I could survive my husband being gone and raising our son in his absence. But guess what? I’m surviving and doing a pretty good job at it. Time is going by so fast,but also so slow. Just ready for this last stretch to be done with.

I decided to do a mini update since it has been a while. So much has happened and I’m just so grateful.
Being apart from your significant other puts things in perspective. My love for my husband has grown so much, I didn’t think it was humanly possible to love him more. If you’re interested in what I have to say please keep reading. If not, I will see you in the next blog post.

                 *I HAVE A 2 YEAR OLD*

Recently my little boy Jaxon turned two years old.(it’s still so weird for me to say I have a two year old). Jaxon had such a nice, small birthday party. His friends gave him so many nice gifts. Tons of new pajamas and books. Jaxon also received a birthday card from his great grandma from Florida. That was such a surprise. I will leave the link to his birthday party below.

Life has been pretty well. I’ve been super busy getting things in order for my husband return and trying keep our son busy.


MY family and Jesus has been the glue that has kept me together. I’m just so appreciative of them. Days when I feel overwhelmed with life, my family and Christ pulls me back in with an encouraging word. I have always known my family loves me. It’s more than words but actions. We are so close. That’s why I’m so grateful to have them or else I would be all alone and wouldn’t have anyone. Jaxon and I are doing well. We both are just ready for this deployment to be over.

My YouTube channel and this blog are some of the best things I started . I love being able to share my experiences with you all. I don’t ever have to worry about being judged. I’m free to express my emotions and feelings into creativity. Thank you all so much for reading and being apart of this journey with me. I will see you all in the next blog post.

Creamy Garlic Tuscan Chicken pasta 

The other night I made a new family favorite. Creamy Garlic Chicken. I had many request to share my recipe, so here it is. Enjoy!1½ pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced2 Tablespoons olive oil

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup chicken broth

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon italian seasoning

½ cup parmesan cheese

1 cup spinach, chopped

½ cup sun dried tomatoes or cherry tomatoes 

2 cups of chicken broth optional if you decide to cook the chicken in the crockpot.1.In a large skillet add olive oil and cook the chicken on medium high heat for 3-5 minutes on each side or until brown on each side and cooked until no longer pink in center. Remove chicken and set aside on a plate. For my chicken I actually cooked it in the crockpot on high for 4 hours with chicken broth and garlic seasoning. I wanted the chicken to fall apart and it turned out very good.

2..Add the heavy cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese. Whisk over medium high heat until it starts to thicken. Add the spinach and sundried or cherry tomatoes and let it simmer until the spinach starts to wilt. Add the chicken back to the pan and serve over pasta if desired.
