A letter to my son

Dear Jaxon,

Mommy decided to write you a letter. May you know how much I truly love you.

The moment I found out I was pregnant was the one of the best days of my life. The moment I heard your heart beat on the ultrasound was one of the best moments in my life. You have brought so much joy and love to my life.

The day you were born and placed in my arms was the best day of my existence. There are so many things I want to say in this letter but let me tell you the most important thing.

I love you son. Nothing that you could ever do could make me not love you. Mommy will always be behind you, no matter where life takes you. I promise to be there for you.

I also wanted to say that the world we live in, is a very mean and cruel place. May you always stay humble. May you never forget all the things your father and I have taught you.

One day we won’t be here and I want you to remember all the values, love and respect your father and I have placed in you.

Some day you will have your own children and you will instile the values we placed in you to them and they will eventually pass those values to their own.

Remember to always pray, thank God, and be thankful. Be thankful when things are bad and be thankful for when life is good.

Whenever you get sad and I’m not there. Remember you make me proud. Life is hard to figure out and there is no book on how to live it. It’s okay to be sad but pick yourself up and be a champion.

You’re smart, you’re strong, and you’re destined for greatness. We all have a purpose. May you find your purpose. If that means you become the president or a doctor, all that matters is that you love what you do. Give your best. Never give up and glorify God.

This world will tell you that you can’t do something, that you must be hateful. But remember that love and prayer changes the hearts of many.

You will always be my love, I love you and you make me so very proud.
